I have had the privilege of knowing Jake since elementary school. Throughout the years I have seem him grow and change, and I am proud of the person he has become, for himself, for Abby and his family, and for his country. I will never forget that red-headed kid who showed up in my third grade class, who ended up spending many vacations with us in Florida, and who loved those around him truly and deeply. Thank you Jake, for the sacrifice you made so that we can be free. We love you, and promise we will take care or Abby. Can’t wait to see you again. ~ Jenna Angermeier, Westerville, Ohio

Jake, I’ll always remember the experiences you, Chris, and the rest of our friends enjoyed together. You lived life to its fullest, excelling at everything you endeavored to do, but most importantly you excelled at being a wonderful, kind- hearted, loving person. I had the privilege of knowing Jake…he and my sons, Jaeson & Jordan, were very good friends. I’ll always remember Jake’s warm, friendly smile and kind ways.
It seems like just yesterday that I was dropping Jake off at his home after football practice. He never forgot to say “thanks.”
