Condolences from Legacy.com
Dearest Nowacki Family, I only recently learned of Andy’s passing and send my deepest condolences to your family. We graduated from Brush together and I will always remember him as “Wacky Nowacki”…a happy, amiable soul with a smile for everyone. If Andy was in a class with you, you knew it was going to be fun. I am honored to live in a country where brave people like Andy are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the rest of us. God Bless You and God Bless Andy. ~ Jennifer Rhodes-Snyder, Cincinnati, Ohio
I had the pleasure of knowing Andy during my 4 years in the Marine Corps. He along with a few others were attached to my unit in March of 2003. Andy and I spent allot of time working side by side, we live in a fighting pit outside of our base in southern Iraq for quite a few weeks. Never have I known someone as upbeat and optimistic as Andy. Whenever times seemed to rough, his jokes and “ill make ya laugh attitude” got me through the day. I lost touch with Andy after his second deployment, but I will always remember him as one of the best! I miss you buddy!!!!!! ~ Ed McEvoy, Mullica Hill, New Jersey
My name is Todd Carroscia, Andy and I along with two other friends John Bechtel and Mike Pollack were very close as well as fellow police officers. The 4 of us were like brothers, and the news of Andy “ACE” making the ultimate sacrifice for his country was a crushing blow to us. Andy never thought about what people could do for him, it was what he could do for them. You couldn’t ask for a better friend then he. This was and still is very difficult to deal with for many reasons. To burry a fellow police officer is hard enough, but to have that officer as one of your closest friends brings a man to his knees. We love you Andy and in time we will see each other again, and brothers we will forever be………… ~ Todd Carroscia, Timberlake, Ohio
Andy was a gentle soul who loved family, children and animals. he found the good in all and believed in what he was doing. Many people live a lifetime and cannot find something they believe in. In Andy’s 24 years he found much to believe in, and that faith carried him through. He will always be remembered with that smile on his face and a twinkle in his ice blue eyes. I am proud to have called him “my nephew”. ~ lisa perry, lyndhurst, Ohio
