MURDER/SUICIDE
A husband and wife are dead in what officials have deemed a murder suicide. Monday around 8:45 p.m., Muskingum County Sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic violence situation at a home in the 3900 block of Church Hill Road. Upon entry into the home they found the bodies of Zackary Tackett, 34, and Britney Tackett, 34. It was determined Mr. Tackett shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself.
FRAZEYSBURG MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES
A 40-year-old Frazeysburg man with prior drug and theft convictions is facing new charges. Bradley Hinkle is being held at the Licking County Justice Center on a single charge of aggravated trafficking in drugs but other charges could be forthcoming. Hinkle's bond has been set at $500,000. His case will next be heard by a grand jury for possible indictment.
HOMEMADE FIREWORKS
In the wake of a deadly home explosion over the weekend in northeast Ohio involving the manufacturing of homemade fireworks, the State Fire Marshal is warning about the dangers associated with making homemade fireworks. One person was killed, and two others were critically injured in an explosion at a home where the occupants had been making fireworks in the garage. In Ohio, it is illegal for anyone to manufacture, possess, use, or store 1.3G fireworks without a specific license. This includes homemade fireworks.

WORRIED ABOUT BUDGET CUTS
The federal budget proposal now being hashed out in Congress would significantly reduce funding for programs that prevent domestic violence and assault, and help support survivors.
Maria York, policy director for the Ohio Domestic Violence Network, says the funding supports core services, such as legal assistance and victim advocacy.
