LOCAL MAN CHARGED WITH ARSON

A Licking County grand jury has indicted a 31-year-old Hebron man accused of starting a fire. Caleb Gayheart faces one count each of aggravated arson and burglary in connection with an incident earlier this month. Gayheart remains held on $500,000 bond. He's due back in court today.

CHANGE OF DATE

Due to the possibility of inclement weather on Thursday two local communities have moved their Beggars' Night from Thursday to today. Hebron and Johnstown will hold trick-or-treat this evening. Hebron’s will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. and Johnstown’s will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

EARLY VOTING

Early voting continues in Ohio.

Brian Mead, director, Licking County Board of Elections, said they have extended hours of early in-person voting this week and weekend. For more information visit the Licking County Board of Election's website or Facebook page.

OHIO STATE VS. PENN STATE

Ohio State is getting ready for Saturday's showdown against Penn State.

Coach Ryan Day and the Buckeyes are No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, Nittany Lions are No.3. Kickoff Saturday from Happy Valley is set for noon.

ROAD WORK

The Newark Engineer's Office has announced that King Road at the Sharon Valley Road intersection will be closed today from 8:00am-3:00pm. Sharon Valley Road will remain open in both directions.
