SNOW FOR CENTRAL OHIO

Central Ohio will see snow today.

Steven Hrebenach, meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said thanks to the recent warm weather most of the snow should melt as soon as it hits the pavement, but there could be some accumulation on grassy areas.

COLOGIX PROJECT

Cologix, a leading network-neutral interconnection data center has acquired land in Johnstown, to develop a new, AI-ready data center campus. The new campus will be situated on approximately 154 acres, bordered by Clover Valley Road on the west and Duncan-Plains Road on the north. When fully built the new campus will feature eight, AI-ready data centers. Development of the first phase is anticipated to begin in 2025.

LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS

The Lancaster Police Department has noticed an increase in vehicle break-ins. Officers remind residents to lock vehicles, park in well-lit areas and remove all wallets, purses, electronic devices, and firearms from your vehicle. If you see suspicious people or vehicles in your neighborhood, contact your local law enforcement agency.

HUFFMAN SELECTED AS HOUSE SPEAKER

Wednesday, Ohio House Republicans unanimously selected Senate President Matt Huffman as the next speaker of the house. Huffman won't officially take the gavel until January when the Ohio House of Representatives votes on its next leader.

GRANVILLE WING DING

In an effort to drum up support for the annual Granville Turkey Trot a special event called the Wing Ding will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9:00am-12:00pm at at the Opera House Park on Main and Broadway in Granville. Proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit the Food Pantry Network of Licking County.

Michelann Scheetz said over the past 19 years the Granville Turkey Trot has raised more than $1 million for the Food Pantry Network of Licking County. You can register for the Turkey Trot during Saturday's Wing Ding. KOOL101.7 will be broadcasting live Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm.

HOLIDAY TRAVEL

AAA projects 79.9 million travelers will head 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period. This year’s projection of nearly 80 million travelers is an increase of 1.7 million people compared to last year and 2 million more than in 2019. AAA projects a record 71.7 million people will travel by car for the holiday.
