Pataskala, OH 43062

When: Saturday, January 12th, 9:30 AM

Proper planning is the beginning to a successful vegetable garden.  This class will engage you in a hands-on process of garden planning, developing a garden calendar, and starting a garden journal. The content is geared for beginner and intermediate gardeners, but all gardeners will be able to pick up some tidbit of information to make their own gardens more successful.

This class is also offered in Buckeye Lake on a different date. These FREE classes are presented by experienced Licking County Master Gardeners in affiliation with OSU Extension in Newark. For more information, call Lori Swihart -Program Coordinator at 740-670-5322, email her at swihart.33@osu.edu, or check out Licking County Master Gardener Volunteers on Facebook.

Not enough space around your residence for a garden? Let's talk about creating a shared-space COMMUNITY GARDEN in Pataskala under the guidance of Pataskala Parks & Recreation Department. Grow produce for your own table or donate to a local Food Pantry. Enjoy the company of "growers" of different ages and backgrounds while you putter in the garden.

THIS IS THE FIRST OF SIX MONTHLY CLASSES THAT RUN THRU  JUNE.  EACH MONTH WE EXAMINE A DIFFERENT PHASE OF CREATING & SUSTAINING A PRODUCTIVE GARDEN.
