TIME: Noon - 4 pm

The Works is an enthusiastic supporter and advocate of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education and programming. STEM initiatives at The Works link businesses with youth and the community through fun, hands-on activities. STEMfest! is an annual STEM event that engages Middle School and High School youth in design-based problem solving challenges from a variety of disciplines that relate to what scientists and engineers encounter every day in their careers. This year, students will be participating in an Industry and Design challenge: building feral cat shelters using sustainable materials. The Licking County Humane Society will be in attendance, judging cat shelter designs and providing information about how to get started on a career in Veterinary Medicine. This event is completely FREE and open to the public!
