Granville Rotary Hosts Taste of Granville

Taste of Granville, to be held on Saturday, April 29th at the Bryn Du Mansion from 5-8 pm. This is the third year for this event  and the centennial of the Rotary International Foundation will be recognized for 100 years has done good in the world, including the almost complete eradication of Polio.
Taste of Granville is held at the Bryn Du Mansion, Fieldhouse and Carriage House, which will feature a wide variety of local restaurants, specialty food retailers, caterers and food service providers.  The club will also utilize outdoor spaces to host a Food Truck Rodeo. Also featured will be regional craft beers in all three venues this year, and the Stella Artois Airstream will be in attendance. The event will feature regional craft beers live music in the Bryn Du Mansion as well as a silent auction.

This year’s fundraising goal is $25,000.  Granville Rotary directs 100% of the proceeds to support the club’s numerous and varied service projects, including:

•         Five college scholarships

•         GHS and GMS Students of the Month

•         Junior Achievement Biz Town for 5th graders

•         Children’s Reading Foundation of Licking County

•         Market Street Pantry

•         Families Helping Families – holiday season

•         Eradicating polio worldwide/Pilsners for Polio

•         HS Ethics and Leadership Conference

•         Food Pantry Network of Licking County

•         Book donations to Granville Public Library

•         Granville Rec District’s Concerts on the Green

•         Inbound/outbound international exchange students

•         Disaster relief worldwide through Shelterbox and others

•         International projects including most recently eighteen water wells in

•         Community Shred-It Days

•         Red Cross Community Blood Drives

Recent Community Legacy Projects:

•         Bicentennial Clock at Granville Village Hall

•         Frazier-Sargent Rotary Softball Complex

•         Raccoon Creek Bridge connecting the Evans bike path to Raccoon Valley Park
