Well I’ve been known to talk to some passengers. We actually have made many friends on longer trips, such as trips to Vegas.
Unless it's the person I'm traveling with, I won't speak unless spoken to.
Recently a woman was drunk and obnoxiously anxious about flying and wouldn't shut up. It was funny at first but then when she kept talking LOUDLY to everyone around her during the flight, it became increasingly annoying. So no, I never want to be that annoying passenger that won't shut up
